Role Introduction

The Manager - Landscape will be responsible to manage and oversee the operations of landscape team to provide all-round landscape management services for Kai Tak Sports Park. The incumbent is to be also responsible to devise landscape design and implementation strategy for a wide spectrum of developments, provide professional advice to landscape consultants, provide guidance and support to team members and oversee site works to ensure proper project execution from to project completion and handover in terms of landscape maintenance and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the operations of landscape team to provide all-round landscape management services
  • Assess the landscapes and their eco-systems, advise on the impact of proposed changes to land use
  • Plans and directs the landscape team to perform daily operations includes repairing and maintenance works for landscape
  • Propose to superiors for the landscape improvement works when necessary
  • Devise management and maintenance plans, to ensure spaces are preserved for future use and enjoyment
  • Propose to the superiors for the selection and appointment of landscape suppliers and contractors, lead the team to monitor the performance of the suppliers and contractors
  • Monitor the team and contractors to ensure the compliance of government regulation and requirement on safety management and sustainability
  • Conduct site visits and supervise the construction projects to ensure the quality of landscape repairing and maintenance works
  • Support ad hoc projects and assignments

Requirements

  • Degree Holder in related disciplines, preferably in Horticulture, Arboriculture and Landscape Management
  • At least 8 years or above experience in landscape management with at least 5 years at managerial level
  • Advanced knowledge of best practices in landscape management
  • With strong communication and leadership skills
  • With strong planning, organizing and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as skills in interpersonal relations
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is preferred
