Role Introduction
The incumbent will be responsible for generating and closing sales for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) business at Kai Tak Sports Park. This role involves prospecting, pitching, and negotiating with clients to secure MICE event bookings and maximize revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new MICE business opportunities, such as corporate meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and other group events.
- Conduct facility tours and present the Park's capabilities to potential clients in a persuasive and professional manner.
- Negotiate contracts, manage the sales process, and handle all aspects of closing MICE event bookings.
- Prepare competitive proposal or bids to win MICE event bookings.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of MICE leads and prospects, tracking progress and next steps.
- Collaborate with the events, catering, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of MICE events.
- Provide exceptional customer service to MICE clients, addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sales plans and initiatives to achieve or exceed MICE revenue targets.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to build relationships and promote the venue.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in MICE sales, event management, or hospitality sales including an understanding of the most effective sales channels. (e.g. events, on-line, associations)
- Ideally, well connected in various industries at a senior level to maximise business development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to engage with clients effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to juggle multiple MICE opportunities.
- Proficient in using sales management tools, CRM software, and data analytics.
- Thorough understanding of the MICE industry, including trends, best practices, and competitive landscape.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Willingness to travel to attend industry events and meet with potential MICE clients.
- Good command in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
