Cook - Sports Bar

Reports To: Chef de Partie Sports Bar

Role Introduction:

The Cook is responsible for assisting in the efficient and high-quality food production in the Sports Bar at Kai Tak Sports Park. This role will be involved in all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and adherence to food safety regulations under the direction of the Chef de Partie Sports Bar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare a variety of food items, including pub classics, comfort foods, international dishes, and healthy options, according to recipes and standards set by the Chef de Partie
• Ensure all food items are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and presentation standards
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and ingredients and notifying the Chef de Partie of any shortages
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP and ISO22000 requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all kitchen equipment and tools are properly cleaned and stored
• Assist with plating and garnishing food items for efficient service
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests from the service team
• Participate in training programs to continuously improve culinary skills and knowledge
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef de Partie Sports Bar

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen or sports bar environment
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and familiarity with a wide range of cuisines
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese/Cantonese and basic English
