Role Introduction

The Venue Support Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the setup and breakdown of events, coordinating with the Event Operations team and ensuring all event requirements are met, troubleshooting any issues that may arise during events and ensuring that our venue meets all safety and quality standards for each event.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of direct in-house labor to render event related services to the customers, organizers, exhibitors etc. such as coordinating and planning facilities / resources requirements, occupational health and safety on general labor
  • Coordinate with internal parties / service partners and plan, implement, organize and monitor all resources and logistic deployment to support events
  • Render support and professional advice to other departments and event organizers / exhibitors or other external customers
  • Plan the event set up and coordinate to have service records and arrange remedial works for handing over set up to client
  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all event requirements are met and executed according to plan
  • Monitor the direct in-house labor and to ensure that the service requirement or standard is met
  • Plan and organize all manpower required to support day-to-day operations and event days including formulating duty rosters
  • Perform any ad hoc assignments as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or High school diploma in Business Administration, Building Services Management, Event Management or relevant disciplines
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in sizeable companies, MNC is preferred, 5 years in supervisory level
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to motivate and foster teamwork and shall also be a mature, independent, responsible team player with string organizational skills
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and event equipment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate event hours, including shift work, overnight work, weekends and public holiday
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges
  • Good in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Able to work under pressure to meet tight timelines and multi-tasking
  • Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate and Fork-lift Truck Certificate holder is preferred
  • Experience working within the events, hospitality, logistics or operation fields
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
