Role Introduction

The incumbent will be responsible for driving revenue growth and maximizing market share for Banquet and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) business at Kai Tak Sports Park. This includes developing and executing sales strategies, identifying and prospecting new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and generating, negotiating, and closing event bookings. The role involves promoting the company's banquet, catering, and event solutions, preparing proposals and contracts, coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery, and achieving sales targets while maximizing revenue and client satisfaction through high-quality service and effective account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handles telephone inquiries and follow-up with all relevant KTSP intel (i.e. venue availability, pricing information)
  • Independently performs site visits and other sales meetings.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations to associations, corporations, and other relevant organizations.
  • Follow-up of leads from all sales initiatives i.e. site tours, telemarketing, other sales programmes. (on & offline)
  • Handles written correspondence with prospects and customers, including sales proposals.
  • Prepares and issues formal agreements/contracts.
  • Build strong relationships across the three verticals to maximise the potential for long term agreements and cross selling.
  • Send clients pre-event information and follow-up information regarding their specific booking.
  • Efficiently and effectively manages all sales pipelines across the three verticals.
  • Achieve agreed, ambitious yet realistic sales targets. (i.e. monthly, quarterly, annual) and challenging event calendar.
  • Maintains an active role in promoting KTSP within the local business community.
  • Work closely with the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and other key stakeholders to book citywide conventions and meetings.
  • Work closely with KTSP marketing team to update sales literature as required. (on and offline)
  • Engage in positive and professional communication with other KTSP departments.
  • Perform all relevant administration tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree holder in Marketing, Hospitality, Event or Business Administration.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of successful, direct sales experience and account management. Comfortable negotiating complex deals. Experience in hotels is preferred.
  • Customer-oriented with high quality customer relations management skills.
  • The ability for hands-on events planning, co-ordination and implementation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in addition to strong personal management and interpersonal relations.
  • Excellent presentation, problem solving, negotiation and coaching skills.
  • Be flexible, a good team player, able to work independently and in a high-pressure environment.
  • Command of English and Chinese in both speaking and writing. Mandarin is a plus.
