To support this next phase of growth and transformation, the company is seeking an experienced and commercially-minded General Manager China to lead the business. Based in Shanghai, the role will play a critical role in driving strategic execution, enhancing organizational capabilities, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering sustainable business growth across the region. 

Reporting to the regional and global leadership team, the General Manager will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the China business. The role carries full responsibility for business growth, profitability, organizational development, and strategic execution, while ensuring strong alignment with the company's global objectives.

Responsibilities

Business Leadership & P&L Responsibility

  • Full accountability for the subsidiary's overall performance, including revenue, profitability, and organizational development
  • Lead the development and execution of business plans and sales strategies to achieve turnover and profit targets and support long-term growth
  • Ensure effective budget planning, financial monitoring, and resource allocation to achieve financial objectives efficiently
  • Regularly prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for headquarters, providing insights on trends and business outlook

Customer & External Representation

  • Serve as the legal and executive representative of the company in China, including negotiations, industry events, exhibitions, and key customer or partner engagements
  • Take final responsibility for resolving key customer issues and internal escalations, ensuring timely and effective decision-making
  • Responsible for driving brand positioning and market visibility through marketing activities such as exhibitions, advertising, and promotional initiatives.


Sales & Market Development

  • Drive sales performance by continuously monitoring results against forecasts and implementing corrective actions where required
  • Lead the acquisition of new customers across relevant industrial markets and applications
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular engagement, visits, and executive-level interactions
  • Analyze local market dynamics and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities, risks, and new customer segments or industries
  • Establish and strengthen partnerships with distributors, suppliers, and other strategic stakeholders to support business expansion
