Our Client looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to kick start our Mulesoft practice as the MuleSoft Practice Lead. This is a senior role within the Salesforce Practice and reports into the Head of Salesforce.

Job Summary:

The MuleSoft Practice Lead is a new role and will be responsible for starting, leading and managing our Clients MuleSoft integration and API management practice. This role involves working closely with Mulesoft, Salesforce, clients, technical teams and project managers to design, implement, and deliver MuleSoft solutions.

The Practice Lead is expected to be an expert in MuleSoft technologies and best practices, providing technical leadership and guidance to ensure the successful execution of integration projects.

Responsibilities:

Practice Leadership:

  • Grow and manage the MuleSoft practice, building a team of MuleSoft developers and architects to match demand.
  • Define and execute the practice's strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Stay updated on the latest MuleSoft trends, best practices, certifications and technologies.
  • Understand use cases for our chosen industries (FinServ, Telco and Retail/FMCG)
  • Proactively engage with Mulesoft to identify leads and collaborate on opportunities.
  • Work with the strategic account team to deliver revenue from existing pipeline.
  • Identify opportunities with Salesforce/Mulesoft and through customer engagements and account meetings with Sales.

Client Engagement:

  • Engage with clients to understand their business requirements and integration needs.
  • Provide pre-sales support, including solution design and proposal development.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client projects and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop case studies on successful completion of projects for circulation in our Clients target market and Salesforce and secure CSAT scores post implementation.
  • Attend conferences and events as required.

Solution Design:

  • Design MuleSoft solutions, including API designs, integration flows, and data transformations.
  • Create technical architecture and design documents.

Development and Implementation:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of MuleSoft integration projects.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to developers.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

  • Define and implement testing strategies and ensure the quality of MuleSoft solutions.
  • Perform testing and validation of integrations.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for MuleSoft projects, including design documents, deployment guides, and best practices.

Training and Mentorship:

  • Certify in Mulesoft as required by the partner programme, at a minimum Mulesoft Certified Developer 1 within Q1 of FY2025.
  • Develop a learning path for all Mulesoft prospective employees and new hires to reflect the certification requirements of the programme, practical knowledge required to successfully deliver projects and provide training and mentorship to junior team members to enhance their MuleSoft skills.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the practice.

Project Management:

  • Size projects based on effort require to complete them.
  • Assist project managers in project planning, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with MuleSoft projects.
  • Implement best practices for security and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or other completed tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer and MuleSoft Certified Architect certifications are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in MuleSoft integration and API management.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency in integration patterns, REST, SOAP, and other API protocols.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization technologies is a plus.
