Reporting to: Shift Lead - Warehouse & Logistics
Key Responsibilities: -
1. Receiving of inventory in DC - Offloading stock into the warehouse space against the issued delivery note, counting accurately every piece to ensure the delivery note amount matches the actual stock received
Ensuring no variances between Invoice/delivery note received and actual stock received;
Ensure any variances, damages or returns at intake are accurately recorded and escalated
2. Orders Dispatching - The process of loading customers orders into the predetermined trucks, counting every piece to ensure all customers receive their orders on time and in full
3. Record keeping - Filing in delivery notes with exact quantities of products that have been loaded into trucks during the dispatch process, signing off and filling of the records for any inventory audit operations. The delivery notes are also to be uploaded into the predetermined App/ ERP
4. Floor casuals management - ensuring off-loading is completed within stipulated timelines
Validating the number of casuals on the floor match the labor plan of the day as shared by the logistics and warehousing officer at the beginning of the shift
Any risks eg casuals failing to turn up on time to be escalated promptly to the logistics and warehousing officer for mitigation measures to be taken
5. Stock Take - Conducting inventory cycle counts at predetermined intervals i.e, at the end of each shift to ensure the stock reported in the inventory report is accurate and any variances noted can be traced back to either an intake associate or a dispatch associate for recon and accountability
All stock variances should to be escalated to the logistics and warehousing officer for immediate follow up
Skills & Experience
- Minimum one year in a similar role in a Construction, FMCG Warehouse, or Logistics company.'
- Tech Savvy - able to learn new systems quickly.
