Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and driven Application Support / Cloud Ops Engineer to join our global Cloud Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the reliability of our SaaS infrastructure while actively resolving incidents and automating operational tasks. You will work closely with Development, Product, and QA teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve production and non-production issues within defined SLAs.
  • Assess severity levels of incidents and initiate appropriate response actions.
  • Investigate system/application logs to troubleshoot and restore services.
  • Deliver Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive post-incident remediation plans.
  • Regularly communicate incident/request status to teams impacted
  • Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of new software versions across environments.
  • Identify and report recurring issues, contributing to their resolution through automation and process improvements.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to eliminate manual interventions.
  • Communicate issue status updates to internal stakeholders and impacted teams.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for continuous support coverage.
  • Operate effectively under pressure, with flexibility in work schedules when required.

Key Requirements:

  • 5–6 years of experience in application support or cloud operations roles.
  • Strong Linux fundamentals (CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux).
  • Exposure to AWS services and experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Experience with application middleware platforms (JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, NGINX).
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Shell, Python, Groovy, Perl).
  • Working knowledge of tools like Git, Terraform, Ansible.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts: DNS, LDAP, Firewalls, File Shares, SFTP.
  • Experience in containerization tools and orchestration platforms is a plus.
  • Monitoring tools experience (Zabbix, LightRun, etc.).
  • Cloud platform experience with AWS, OCI.
  • Tools knowledge: JIRA, Confluence.

Nice to Have:

  • AWS certification (highly desirable).
  • Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) experience.
  • Experience with Oracle or other RDBMS, including data load/import/export tasks.
  • Familiarity with Big Data environments (Hadoop, Spark).
  • Experience with enterprise middleware (WebSphere, WebLogic).
  • Exposure to Elastic Search, Kibana, EMR.
  • Experience supporting BI and ETL tools like Informatica, Looker.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
