Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and set up Talend environments for development, testing, and production, ensuring appropriate permissions and security settings.
- Monitor Talend jobs and processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful job execution.
- Manage and schedule jobs through the Talend Administration Center (TAC), handling dependencies and optimizing workflows.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance on Talend servers to maintain high availability and performance.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Talend jobs, optimizing them for efficiency.
- Conduct performance tuning of Talend environments and recommend improvements.
- Manage Talend job load balancing, resource allocation, and scaling based on data processing needs.
- Ensure Talend environments comply with security best practices by implementing proper access controls and user management.
- Troubleshoot Talend job failures and system issues, coordinating with IT teams when required.
- Address connectivity, performance, and error issues in Talend workflows.
- Maintain logs and error tracking for continuous monitoring and improvement.
- Document Talend environment setups, configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide technical support and guidance to development and data engineering teams using Talend.
- Create and maintain operational documentation and best practices for Talend platforms.
Experience Requirements
- At least 5+ years of experience in Talend Administration, with expertise in Talend Administration Center (TAC).
- Proven experience managing Talend environments for data integration, ETL, and data quality projects.
- Strong background in Talend performance tuning, job scheduling, and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL, including query tuning expertise.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP; experience with cloud-based Talend setups is a plus.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data quality best practices.
