Job Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather data integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions using the Ab Initio platform.
2. Solution Design: Design comprehensive data integration solutions, including workflows, transformations, and data quality processes, leveraging Ab Initio.
3. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
4. Platform Configuration: Configure and optimize the Ab Initio environment for peak performance and scalability.
5. Data Modeling: Collaborate with data modelers to design and implement data models that align with the data integration solution requirements.
6. Performance Tuning: Identify bottlenecks and optimize Ab Initio graphs and processes to improve performance and efficiency.
7. Documentation: Develop technical documentation, including design documents, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
8. Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve technical issues related to Ab Initio workflows, configurations, and integrations.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Ab Initio Expertise: Proficient in designing and developing data integration solutions using Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment), Co>Operating System, Metadata Hub, DQE, Express>IT.
2. Domain Knowledge: Telecom domain experience is preferred.
3. Data Warehousing: Experience working on data warehousing projects.
4. Data Integration: Strong experience with data integration concepts, ETL processes, and data warehousing architectures.
5. Technical Skills: Expertise in relational databases, data modeling, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Unix shell scripting).
6. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
7. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
8. Collaboration: Strong collaborative skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
9. Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
10. Project Management: Experience managing technical projects, timelines, and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data integration, ETL development, and using Ab Initio software.
- Certifications in Ab Initio or relevant technologies are an added advantage.
