Job Description
- Manage and review budgets and monitor actual expenses.
- Oversee daily revenue, expenses, bank deposits, cash withdrawals, and petty cash.
- Ensure accurate accounting records and proper supporting documentation.
- Review bookkeeping records and taxation reports prepared by external accounting firms.
- Review school fee calculations and ensure accurate bank reconciliation.
- Review and process payments to suppliers and contractors.
- Review inventory usage and purchase requests to ensure proper use of company funds and resources.
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial closing reports.
- Ensure accurate reporting of revenue, expenses, cash on hand, and bank balances.
- Prepare payroll and review NSSF payments according to the required timeline.
- Liaise with external Tax Advisors and Accounting Firms for monthly and annual tax and accounting compliance.
- Review monthly financial reports, conduct financial analysis, and present reports to the Board of Directors.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and follow up on audit findings and recommendations.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Tax on Profit (TOP) declarations.
- Prepare annual budget forecasts and cash flow forecasts in collaboration with school management.
- Review accounting procedures to ensure transparency, proper internal controls, and compliance with applicable accounting and taxation requirements.
- Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned.
Requirement
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field;
- At least 2years experience in the related field;
- Experience in school is a plus;
- Hard working and self-motivated person, honest, attention to detail, reliable, loyal, responsible and very good team work;
- Able to work under pressure and work independently;
- Able to communicate in English;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks;
- Knowledge of other accounting software is a plus.
