About the job Degreed Mechanical Engineer
This position is responsible lead a team of designers in Production Engineering. This is not a Supervisory position, but a
Lead Engineering position. This induvial will be responsible for getting Production Engineering projects out to the shop
floor in a timely basis as well as working as a liaison between manufacturing, purchasing, and sales. This individual must
be a quality minded person that will be responsible for the quality of the product coming out of Production Engineering.
This individual must have basic stress analysis skills and the ability to determine stress in structures. Having good
knowledge of compressible flow analysis is a plus.

Essential Duties:
Plans mechanical drawings by reviewing sketches, descriptions, specifications, and supporting documents,
conferring with engineers and designers.
Prepares mechanical sketches and drawings by rendering sectional, auxiliary, and multi-views, sub-assemblies,
pictorials, dimensions, and developments; producing two- and three-dimensional orthographic projections using
computer aided design (CAD) and pictorial techniques; producing three-dimensional (3-D) models.
Reviews RFQ specifications, drawings, floor plans to determine scope of work and required contents of the quote.
Visits project sites to understand the environment, constraints and take necessary measurements.
Develops and receives quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
Creates the quote by preparing Bill of Materials and labor cost estimates.
Provides detailed, accurate & complete quotations to customers.
Prepares supporting information by developing bills of materials and drawings.
Modifies drawings by analyzing, resolving, and incorporating changes.
Documents work by recording data and drawings, updating databases.
The ability to lead a team of designers and oversee daily Production Engineering responsibilities as a Lead
Engineer.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
Licenses and Certifications: N/A
Experience: 5 + years of Mechanical Engineering design experience required; 1440 hours of AutoCAD and SolidWorks
each preferred; 5 + years of ERP and bills of materials work required.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the systems utilized by the organization; Experience with Made-2-

Technical math skills required.
Must be flexible, dependable, and have the ability and willing to work overtime when needed.
Ability to adhere to safety rules and procedures and safety minded.
Ability to do welded designs and have a good understanding of weld processes preferred.
