Job Title: Senior Architect/Project Manager

Job Summary: Well respected, Architectural firm is looking for a Senior Architect/Project Manager to join their company. The role requires an energetic and collaborative approach to design build and the proven ability to solve problems independently. The ideal candidate should have a pleasant manner, strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for an experienced individual responsible for coordinating all aspects of assigned projects to ensure effective execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in all phases of architecture, including substantial and varied experience in project planning.
  • 5+ years of experience in responding to RFIs/RFPs
  • Undergraduate degree in Architecture
  • Professional Florida Architectural Registration
  • Fluent in AutoCAD & Revit, with Sketch-up, Photoshop and Microsoft projects
  • Construction industry experience
  • Self-driven, professional, high energy and receptive to learning on the job
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
  • Self-confident, tenacious while maintaining positive working relationships with clients, outside consultants, and technical staff
  • Able to provide direction and lead architectural staff effectively and positively
  • Ability to adapt to a small office environment

Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Partner with Principal to create and respond to proposals for potential projects.
  • Coordinate all project efforts to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects through all phases of development.
  • Serve as principal design professional translating concepts and solutions to develop high quality architectural projects on time and on budget.
  • Serve as primary contact liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Estimate fees, prepare proposals and contracts, and monitor adherence to terms of the most complex projects.
  • Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and project communications and documentation
  • Provide oversight and monitor the work of less experienced technical staff from inception to completion on designated projects or as otherwise.
  • Prepare project plans and checklists to be used as training guides for less experienced technical staff.
  • Responsible for creating accurate CAD drawings from sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits
  • Attend networking events, seminars, and conferences, as needed to promote the JMA office and to engage with other professionals in the industry
  • Assistance with Marketing (including social media posting)
  • Assistance with Company functions as required
