Responsibilities

We are looking for a deadline-driven and experienced construction Superintendent to oversee our construction project and to act as the link between various project parties. The Superintendent will lead and manage the on-site construction team, and oversee all work on site. The Superintendent will be responsible for orderliness on site and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will ensure quality standards are met, and all equipment and materials are available on site at all times. The Superintendent will be a working Superintendent and will complete daily tasks with the project team. TPC has projects all over the United States, the Superintendent would be required to work at the job location needed.

To ensure success you should complete projects on time and within budget, and never compromise on quality. Top candidates will be strong leaders, pro-active and perform well under pressure

Essential Fuunctions

  • Oversee the operations of a construction site, from planning to completion.
  • Able to travel to work in the state where the job is for six months or longer (with scheduled time off).
  • Potentially participate in preconstruction services on all negotiated projects including development of site logistics, project schedule and phasing, design and constructability review and budget development.
  • Be responsible for site staffing, quality control, sub-trade coordination, project scheduling, field cost control and safety.
  • Determine the method of construction, materials quantities, equipment, work schedule and documentation of hours worked.
  • Coordinate assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments and sub-contractors.
  • Maintain relationships with CM, OM, PM and estimating to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications and schedule.
  • Monitor compliance with company and site safety programs, documents and ensures corrective measures are implemented. Takes an active role in the hiring, training, and monitoring field personnel.
  • Assists with preparation and facilitation of project meetings.
  • Assists project managers with resolution of outstanding claim items and with warranty.
  • In conjunction with the project manager, manage the project budget specifically as pertains to production on self-performed work.
  • Knowledge of standard construction software and management processes.
  • Completes work on time in a professional and competitive manner.
  • Maintains positive relations with clients, general contractors, and the community.
  • Communicates effectively with team members.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure success on the project.
  • Work for the Construction Manager and Operations Manager to establish completed projects on time and under budget.

Minimum Requirements

  • Varying years of experience will be considered: 5-20 years of construction experience and experience in a supervisory capacity role.
  • Project experience in swimming pools considered an asset
  • As a commercial superintendent has completed at least a single project valuing $1M or greater.
  • Has some plumbing experience.
  • Knows the impact of change on cost and schedule and can produce a schedule for the project team.
  • Knowledge of construction engineering and design.
  • Must be able to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
  • Must be familiar with PPE and commercial safety.

Preferred Experience

· Prior COMMERCIAL POOL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE highly encouraged.

· 5 years + plumbing experience.

· Concrete experience.

· Rebar experience.

  • · Possess strong organizational and management skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to develop new skills and knowledge quickly.
  • · Resourceful and diligent in seeking solutions to problems and adapting to new situations.
  • · Possess the ability to control all aspects of a commercial construction project, assemble daily duties, and process controls and schedules affectively.
  • Must be able to work in and/or organize team.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Compensation is based on skills, knowledge related to position and previous experience. This position offers a competitive wage that is paid weekly and includes A retirement plan, Health Insurance, paid holidays, sick days and PTO.
