JOSA, we promote open-source technologies and education for all age
groups! We are organizing a Tech Camp for young tech enthusiasts aged
15-18 years, where participants will dive into the world of Open Source,
Linux and Computer Networking through engaging and practical hands-on
projects.
We are seeking an experienced Facilitator who can
inspire, educate, and guide young minds through this immersive learning
experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux,
Cybersecurity, and Raspberry Pi, and experience delivering educational
activities tailored to school-age students.
Scope of Work
The Facilitator will be responsible for the following:
Curriculum Development:
- Develop a detailed and engaging course outline focusing on Linux, Raspberry Pi and Computer Networking.
- Design 4 hands-on projects using Raspberry Pi. These project should be related to computer networking, digital privacy or similar fields.
- Prepare training materials, slides, and resources for both theoretical and practical sessions.
Training Delivery:
- Conduct theoretical sessions introducing Linux, networking fundamentals, and cybersecurity concepts.
- Facilitate hands-on sessions, guiding participants in building and troubleshooting projects.
- Foster an engaging and supportive environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Pre and Post-Training Support:
- Provide documentation and follow-up resources for students to continue learning throughout and after the camp.
- Provide support to students between weekly sessions if needed.
- Collect feedback and pre/post assessments from participants to improve future camp iterations.
Expected Deliverables and Schedule
Expected Start Date: December 11th, 2024.
Expected End Date: February 11th, 2025.
- Development of Curriculum and Materials: Create a comprehensive course outline and project documentation and submit all training materials.
- Training Delivery (In-Person, Amman): Theoretical Sessions (4-5 days):
- Hands-On Project Sessions (4 days): Conducted on consecutive Saturdays.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Linux, Cybersecurity concepts, and Networking tools.
- Proven experience in delivering training using Raspberry Pi, preferably to school-aged students.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with a knack for making complex topics accessible and engaging.
- Experience in designing educational materials for hands-on learning environments.
- Passion for open-source technology and education.
