Job Summary:

The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately and efficiently inputting data into our computer system. This includes maintaining and updating customer information, sales records, and inventory data. The ideal candidate will have excellent typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Input and update customer information, sales records, and inventory data into the company's computer system

- Verify accuracy of data by comparing it to source documents

- Identify and correct errors or discrepancies in data

- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

- Organize and maintain physical and digital files

- Communicate with other departments to ensure data accuracy and completeness

- Assist with data entry projects and other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar role

- Excellent typing skills with a speed of at least 60 words per minute

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry software

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with regular office hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. The Data Entry Clerk will work in an office setting and may occasionally need to lift and move boxes or files. The position may also require sitting for extended periods of time.
