VACANCY:Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (Sub-Acute Unit)

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Understands and supports the mission, vision, and values of the organisation. Promote the health, welfare, and safety of all patients in the organisation.

This position reports to the Nursing Service Manager

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Must be able to practice within your scope of practice as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary in a General Ward
  • Must be competent with the Hospital's Policies and Regulations
  • Environmental Control
  • Basic patient care, vitals & observation, assistance and aiding in patient admissions
  • Equipment verification
  • Accurately complete all relevant documentation

COMPETENCIES (The following will be advantageous)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(Educational Qualifications & Experience)

  • Must be registered with SANC as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary.
  • Must have 3 years' experience as Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary in General Ward, Oncology patient experience will be advantageous.
  • Must be prepared to work beyond the working hours when the need arises.
  • Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.
  • Must possess excellent inter-personal skills.

SKILLS
(Practical & Technical)

  • Good interpersonal skills with doctors, patients and colleagues are essential.
  • Must have excellent telephone skills.
  • Must possess excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.
