Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices, ensuring the company's accounting practices remain compliant.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support business decisions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting department.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Proven experience managing a team of accounting professionals.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience with internal controls and audit procedures.
- Experience with NetSuite.
