We are is seeking a hardworking Administrative Assistant 1 to ensure the smooth functioning of the day-to-day operations of the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program as it pertains to the Bureau of Laboratories. If you have what it takes, apply today!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position you will provide support to the bureaus Administrative Officer 2. You will be responsible for the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Programs administrative duties. The areas of responsibility include records management and procurement of supplies, services and equipment needed. Attend planning meetings, provide support and contribute expertise to the functionality of the bureau. You will independently perform a wide variety of administrative assignments and prepare reports of findings and recommendations for the Administrative Officer 2 and Senior Management.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 1 day a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Houston.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
