Paralegal – Real Estate Closings & Legal Support
Location: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Job Type: Full-Time (37.5 Hours/Week)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1-Hour Lunch)

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join a collaborative legal team in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal professional who enjoys supporting attorneys, managing legal documentation, coordinating transactions, and providing exceptional client service.
The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with real estate transactions and legal document preparation, while also demonstrating a willingness to expand into additional practice areas such as debt collection and general legal support. Although experience with real estate closings is preferred, candidates with strong paralegal fundamentals and a desire to learn are encouraged to apply, as on-the-job training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate residential and commercial real estate closings from file opening through post-closing activities.
- Review title commitments, title searches, and related documents for accuracy.
- Prepare and organize closing documentation.

Draft legal documents, including:
- Deeds
- Agreements of Sale
- Affidavits
- Settlement-related documents
- Other legal correspondence and filings
- Utilize real estate settlement software (such as SoftPro) to manage closing transactions and documentation.
- Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and other parties to facilitate timely closings.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Provide administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys.
- Assist with debt collection matters and other legal practice areas as needed.
- Prepare correspondence, legal forms, and case-related documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive legal information.
- Perform additional paralegal and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
- Strong legal document drafting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
- Willingness to learn additional legal practice areas, including debt collection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience independently handling residential or commercial real estate closings.
- Experience reviewing title commitments and title documentation.
- Experience preparing settlement documents.
- Familiarity with SoftPro or similar real estate settlement software.
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania real estate transactions.
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously.
- Prior experience in a law firm environment.
