About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Team Manager – Compliance & Risk Management to lead a professional team in Lisbon.

This position is ideal for an experienced team leader with a background in compliance, risk management, financial services, banking, or operations who enjoys managing people while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of compliance and risk professionals.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, and quality.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify operational and compliance risks and coordinate appropriate actions.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and performance support.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare performance reports.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and management.
• Support process improvements and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of complex issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in team management, compliance, risk, banking, finance, or a related environment.
• Previous people-management or team-leadership experience.
• Fluent English and French are required.
• Strong understanding of compliance and risk-management principles.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced international environment.
• Willingness to work on-site in Lisbon.
