Warehouse supervisor (furniture)

Job Description:

Our client is a leading furniture retailer known for its high-quality, stylish, and functional furniture collections. With a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and a vast range of products, we are expanding our operations in Hyderabad and seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and lead a team of warehouse associates, including hiring training, and performance management.
2. Ensure the accurate receipt, inspection, and storage of furniture products.
3. Oversee inventory control, conducting regular stock checks, and reconciling discrepancies.
4. Plan and optimize warehouse layout to maximize storage space and efficiency.
5. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
6. Collaborate with other logistics and sales departments to meet customer demands and deadlines.
7. Implement and enforce warehouse policies and procedures.
8. Monitor and report on warehouse KPIs, such as productivity and accuracy.
9. Handle customer returns and warranty claims efficiently.
10. Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance warehouse operations.
11. Assist in scheduling and coordinating deliveries to customers and retail locations.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the furniture industry.
2. Proven leadership and team management skills.
3. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory control and logistics.
4. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
5. Proficiency in using warehouse management software and tools.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items when necessary.
8. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
9. A bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
