Job Description: 

Our client in the energy sector is seeking an experienced M&E Design Engineer with a focus on HV Substations. If you have a higher degree in Electrical Engineering and 8-15 years of experience in Electromechanical design of Substations and Power lines exceeding 220 kV, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply your deep expertise in Substations, including general arrangements, HV Primary Equipment sizing, Specs, Insulation Coordination Studies, Power Flows, and Short Circuit analysis (using ETAP software or equivalent).
  • Leverage your Power Lines background to define routes, model using PLSCADD and Tower package software, size HV Cables with CYMCAP software, and produce Sag and Tension calculation reports.
  • Familiarize yourself with the permitting process in Saudi Arabia for Power Line projects.
  • Coordinate the M&E discipline effectively, demonstrating excellent communication skills, autonomy, and flexibility.
  • Be prepared for mobility within Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries as required.

Qualifications:

  • A higher degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8-15 years of experience in Electromechanical design of Substations and Power lines > 220 kV.
  • Proficiency in ETAP, PLSCADD, Tower package, CYMCAP, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English. Proficiency in additional languages like French or Chinese is a valuable asset.
