Welder (Amusement Park Rides)

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks on amusement park rides and structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality welds.
• Select appropriate welding equipment, tools, and materials based on the project requirements.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping as needed.
• Set up and operate welding machines and equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct inspections and tests to assess the quality and integrity of welded components.
• Repair and rework welded parts as necessary to meet quality standards.
• Follow welding procedures and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure proper welding techniques and structural integrity.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspection results.
• Stay updated on welding techniques, industry standards, and safety practices.
• Train and mentor junior welders as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Minimum 4 years of experience as a Welder, preferably in the amusement park rides industry.
2. Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
3. Strong knowledge of welding principles, procedures, and safety practices.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
5. Familiarity with different types of metals and their welding characteristics.
6. Skilled in operating welding machines, tools, and equipment.
7. Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality welds.
8. Good physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks in various positions.
9. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
