About the job ICU Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ICU Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ICU Nurse will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in our intensive care unit. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and hold a valid RN license. The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in an intensive care unit, and should be proficient in assessing, planning, and implementing patient care plans. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit.
  • Assess and monitor patients' conditions, vital signs, and progress, making timely adjustments to care plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Operate and monitor medical equipment and devices used in the ICU.
  • Educate patients and their families about the patient's condition, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including electronic health records (EHR).
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and rapid changes in patient conditions.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and healthcare team members.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an intensive care unit.
  • Proficient in assessing, planning, and implementing patient care plans.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
