About the job ICU Nurse
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ICU Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ICU Nurse will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in our intensive care unit. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and hold a valid RN license. The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in an intensive care unit, and should be proficient in assessing, planning, and implementing patient care plans. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit.
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, vital signs, and progress, making timely adjustments to care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Operate and monitor medical equipment and devices used in the ICU.
- Educate patients and their families about the patient's condition, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and rapid changes in patient conditions.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and healthcare team members.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an intensive care unit.
- Proficient in assessing, planning, and implementing patient care plans.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
