Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Accountant to join our team at our Riyadh location. The Payroll Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with regulations, and maintenance of payroll records. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of payroll processes, and meticulous attention to detail.
Skills & Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy in calculations, deductions, and benefits.
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to attendance and working hours.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant departments and management.
- Handle tax calculations, deductions, and submissions, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Manage employee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the finance team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, both electronically and in hard copies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to payroll expenses and liabilities.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, tax withholding, and deductions.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor standards.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee information and seamless data flow.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience (X+ years) as a Payroll Accountant or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills to interact with employees and stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Problem-solving skills and the capacity to handle complex payroll scenarios.
