Job Description:

As the HR Head for the rail division, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, ensuring the development and implementation of effective HR policies, procedures, and programs. You will collaborate with the senior management team to align HR initiatives with the company's strategic goals and objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a background in the rail industry to make a significant impact on the organization's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the organization's overall objectives.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand their talent requirements and provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, recruitment, and retention.
  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, performance management, and talent development programs to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration, ensuring competitive and equitable compensation structures.
  • Develop and deliver HR training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of managers and employees.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and provide regular reports on HR metrics to senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in employment legislation to ensure HR policies and practices remain current and compliant.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree in HR management is preferred.
  2. Proven experience as an HR Head, HR Manager, or a similar leadership role in the rail industry.
  3. In-depth knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment laws in India.
  4. Strong understanding of talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and learning and development.
  5. Demonstrated ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and implement HR initiatives effectively.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with employees at all levels.
  7. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and strategic mindset.
  8. Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office applications.
  9. Certification in HR management (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD) is a plus.
  10. 5 to 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
