Are you an experienced Azure Network Engineering professional with strong expertise in Azure Core Networking and Firewall technologies? We're looking for a Principal Azure Network Engineer to architect and operationalize a secure, scalable, and highly available Azure networking foundation.

Principal Azure Network Engineer

Location: Any UST Location

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement Azure Landing Zone network architectures, including Hub-Spoke and Virtual WAN topologies.
• Define network segmentation, subnet structures, IP addressing, routing models, and connectivity standards.
• Establish Azure networking patterns across Management Groups, Subscriptions, and Virtual Networks.
• Implement, configure, and manage Azure Firewall and related network security controls.
• Develop secure connectivity standards for internal applications and external services.
• Design and support hybrid network connectivity and highly available network architectures.
• Architect secure networking solutions for Azure platform services and enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Cybersecurity, Platform Engineering, and Architecture teams.
• Support network integration requirements for data and AI workloads.
• Conduct network design reviews and provide guidance as part of architecture governance.
• Define and enforce networking standards, policies, naming conventions, tagging standards, and operational procedures.
• Monitor network health, connectivity, performance, and security posture across Azure environments.
• Create operational runbooks and SOPs and provide troubleshooting guidance to L1/L2 support teams.
• Drive network automation and infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Deliver sprint objectives with high quality and within agreed timelines.

• Azure VPN Gateway
• Azure Virtual Networks
• Hub-Spoke / Virtual WAN Networking
• Hybrid Connectivity
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Experience Required

• 10+ years of enterprise networking experience
• 4+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure cloud networking solutions
• Strong understanding of enterprise-grade network architecture, security, connectivity, and operational practices.
