This unique role blends sales expertise with technical consulting, allowing you to guide clients through the process of selecting the perfect generator for their needs.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking and lead generation.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their power requirements and providing expert guidance on generator selection.
- Conduct thorough site surveys and assessments to determine appropriate generator sizing, specifications, and installation requirements.
- Analyse client needs and recommend suitable generator applications, including backup power, prime power, and other specialized uses.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals, clearly outlining the benefits of recommended solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution, installation, and ongoing customer support.
Qualifications:
- An Electrical Engineering Qualification or a related field.
- A track record in sales, preferably in the power generation or related industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, generator technology, and diverse applications (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial).
- Demonstrated ability to assess client needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
