Job Title: Code 8 Driver (with Professional Driving Permit - PDP)

Job Purpose:

The Code 8 Driver with PDP is responsible for safely transporting goods, passengers, or company personnel as required while ensuring compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Code 8 vehicle (light motor vehicle) for deliveries, passenger transport, or other company-related duties.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records, and delivery documentation.
• Load and unload goods if required, ensuring proper handling and care.
• Maintain professionalism and good customer service when interacting with clients, passengers, or company personnel.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries or transport.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Code 8 (B) drivers license.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience (preferably in a similar role).
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime if required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience in delivery driving, shuttle services, or personal driver roles.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation and route planning.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• May involve long hours on the road.
• Exposure to different weather conditions.
• Some lifting or physical work may be required depending on job duties.
