Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the production side of our automotive component plant in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory experience, a qualification in mechanical engineering or production management, and a proven track record in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the production department to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and workflows to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Manage and mentor a team of production supervisors and staff, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within an automotive component plant.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Certification in Six Sigma or other relevant quality management systems.

Salary: R800k CTC neg pending qualification and experience
