Financial Accountant

Position Overview: The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting up to the trial balance stage. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Transactions Management:
   • Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely.
   • Ensure all financial transactions comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
   • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
2. General Ledger Maintenance:
   • Maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
   • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
   • Prepare adjusting entries as necessary.
3. Month-end Close Activities:
   • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
   • Prepare and review trial balances to ensure accuracy.
   • Generate financial statements for review by management.
4. Financial Analysis:
   • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
   • Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
   • Prepare financial reports and summaries as required.
5. Compliance and Reporting:
   • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and reporting requirements.
   • Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.
   • Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation.
6. Process Improvement:
   • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and procedures.
   • Implement best practices to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, with expertise in managing financial transactions up to trial balance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
