About the job Junior / Intermediate Graphic Designer
Duties:
Create Advertising for Print & Digital Media Spaces:
- Develop engaging and visually appealing advertisements on a daily / weekly / monthly basis for both print and digital platforms.
- Collaborate with the advertising team to ensure all ads align with brand guidelines and goals.
- Adapt and optimize designs for various formats and mediums, including newspapers, websites, social media, and email campaigns.
Manage Our Social Media & Online Presence Across All Brands:
- Oversee and curate content for all social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, X.
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and traffic.
- Monitor social media trends and analytics to inform future content and strategy adjustments.
- Respond to comments, messages, and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Perform Administrative Tasks Relating to the Creation & Distribution of Advertising:
- Coordinate the scheduling and delivery of advertising / marketing materials to our stores.
- Manage inventory and distribution of marketing materials and promotional items.
Perform Any Ad Hoc Duties Relating to Graphic Design / Content & Brand Collateral Creation:
- Support the design team with various graphic design tasks, including creating marketing collateral, brochures, flyers, and promotional materials.
- Assist in content creation for websites, newsletters, and other digital platforms.
- Ensure all design work is consistent with the companys branding and visual identity.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to marketing projects.
Skills Requirements:
- 3-5 years+ experience in the Graphic design / Advertising industry + related tertiary qualification (Advantageous)
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop / In-Design) or Corel Draw suite essential
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite essential
- Social Media Marketing experience essential
- Knowledge of print media i.e. newsprint, catalogues, signage, In-store brand collateral (Advantageous)
- Able to create digital media content at pace
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work flexible times when required
- An eye for design and attention to detail
