Transport Controller

Transport company is seeking an Operations Controller. This position is based in Port Elizabeth.

Overview:

You will manage the deliveries of import/export containers while liaising between clients, loading/offloading points, shipping lines and Port Elizabeth ports.

Duties include:

* Manage the day-to-day transport service requirements.

* Daily vehicle routing and scheduling.

* Ensure highest possible customer service levels.

* Ensure that the fleet is in a roadworthy condition and conforms to Company policy.

* Effective supervision and management of drivers in terms of discipline, timekeeping and attendance.

* Managing the Proof of Delivery process.

Requirements:

* Own transport.

* Grade 12 or equivalent.

* Previous Fleet controlling experience.

* Transport Management or similar qualification will be an added advantage.

* Basic Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel and Microsoft Office).

* Working knowledge of vehicle tracking systems.

* Working knowledge of the Port systems.

* Must be able to work extended hours
