- Purchasing contract administration
- Achieve savings from savings plan / strategy
- Limit escalation and cost increase on contract commodities
- Increase accredited BBBEE spend
- Efficient and effective sourcing and purchasing to ensure material and service availability
- Vendor management and vendor performance
- Initiate and drive activities to increase contract cover and automated purchasing
- Effective negotiation with suppliers price, escalation etc.
- Create, issue, and submit all purchase orders for consumables and indirect goods and service.
- Prepare, negotiate, and review all capex adjudications with internal requesting department manager.
- Manage the tender process through identifying, Screening, and selecting suppliers.
- Manage the buying process for all spares and equipment for the Technical department.
- Communicate requirements, approach and policies with tender suppliers
- Execute contract leases for contracts
- Ensure compliance to global company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures.
- Ensure scope of tactical purchase orders is clear through communication with suppliers and end users
- Assess tactical sourcing opportunities through data gathering and analysis
- Facilitate the end-to-end tactical sourcing process with FKSA stake holders
- Assist with the review of the supplier score card results to identify improvement opportunities
- Emphasise the importance of safety with suppliers and supplier/contractor HSEC compliance
- Identify possible cost savings by doing benchmarking exercises.
- Assist in sourcing new suppliers for current and new products.
- Support in procurement projects
- Action QMS tasks.
- Responsible for good housekeeping in area of responsibility
- From time to time carry out other jobs within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification, and training of the incumbent.
Qualification and Experience :-
- Qualification in Procurement or B. Degree or equivalent in relevant Procurement/Pharmaceutical field
- 5 years Managerial experience within procurement
- PC Literate SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
Pharmaceutical Industry experience preferable
