Position Description

  • Supports the Turning Point grant program as a program analyst.
  • The Business Analyst is responsible for a full range of activities which ensures the operational effectiveness and excellence of the projects assigned.
  • The Business Analyst will design and document workflow and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness.
  • This position will track and analyze business unit trends and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the unit.
  • The Business Analyst will be the functional expert on the specified application(s) he/she will be the sole point of contact with the program manager around the project.
  • The selected candidate will be expected to create reports and dashboards through Power BI, utilize pivot tables and analyze data through Microsoft applications 
  • The majority of his work is done through the advanced search tab in Credible and making reports through that instead of Informatics creating reports. He then transitions it all into Power BI tables for the department to have access to.
  • The biggest barrier in his work has been gaining access to the systems he needs, but his supervisor and manager will put in requests to informatics and he writes his own justifications based on the reports he is writing.
  • One of the things he recently did was analysis data in a way to figure out which staff are actually working hard, compared to their caseload sizes. He said he was looking at variables such as when they are signing services to get that data.

  • Employees will be required to perform other related duties as assigned. 
  • Leads a number of key specific projects for the program with emphasis on project requirements gathering/specification, quality assurance and user efficiency.
  • Maintains the documentation, processes, guidelines and procedures of the Project Management methodology;
  • Partners with business units to complete project management activities to ensure successful completion of project needs;
  • Prepares project documentation as required;
  • Reviews and consolidates all final project documentation to ensure compliance with records retention schedules;
  • Collects and consolidates project summary.

Experience Required

  • Minimum bachelor's level degree in Business Analytics and Data Science
  • A minimum of 3 years of related business analysis experience
  • Degree/Experience in Business Analytics and Data Science -
  • Prior experience with data science, power query, pivot tables, power BI and if needed more technical applications like Python (this gets into programming and understanding data)
  • At least 2 years' experience with data science, power query, pivot tables and excel, and power BI
  • Experience with technical applications like Python
  • Prior knowledge and understanding of medical terminology or services provided in an outpatient setting
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Analytics and Data Science, Business Administration or related field
  • Bachelors degree in Business Analytics and Data Science or higher
