About the Role

We are partnering with a technology-driven company building complex, large-scale systems and seeking a senior technical leader to help define long-term architecture and engineering standards.

The Distinguished Engineer / Principal Architect is a highly influential individual contributor role that works across engineering teams and closely with executive leadership. This role shapes foundational technical decisions and ensures systems scale reliably as the business grows.

This position is ideal for a deeply technical leader who wants executive-level impact without direct people management.

What Youll Be Responsible For

• Define and guide long-term system architecture across services and platforms

• Influence technical standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices

• Partner with senior engineers, product leaders, and executives on complex initiatives

• Lead architectural reviews for distributed systems and critical services

• Guide decisions around microservices, APIs, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure

• Improve system scalability, performance, and fault tolerance

• Mentor senior engineers and act as a technical authority across teams

What Were Looking For

• Experience as a Principal Engineer, Distinguished Engineer, or Senior Architect

• Deep expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architectures

• Strong background with microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure at scale

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines

• Ability to communicate complex technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical leaders
