Our client is seeking an experienced Portfolio Administrator to join their Foreclosure Department. This role plays a crucial part in providing administrative support to attorneys specializing in foreclosure law, ensuring smooth operations and efficient client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings related to foreclosure proceedings.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurately labeled and stored both physically and electronically.
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and hearings for attorneys and clients.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and other law firms.
- Perform legal research and prepare summaries of findings for attorneys as required.
- Handle billing and invoicing processes with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with firm policies and legal regulations.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of proven experience as a Portfolio Administrator/Legal Secretary in a law firm environment, preferably within a foreclosure's department.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to work with multiple systems.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to foreclosure law is preferred.
