Accounting Manager - Luxury Jewelry

Job Summary:

Our client is luxury watch and jewelry business is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to lead our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. The Accounting Manager will also oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounting team and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the luxury retail industry and possess strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Manage the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
• Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop financial strategies that align with business objectives.
• Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, and make recommendations for improvements to existing processes.
