Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and fluoroscopy, by physician orders and department protocols.
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort by providing clear instructions, addressing questions, and ensuring a smooth imaging process.
- Position patients appropriately and adjust imaging equipment for the best-quality diagnostic images.
- Monitor imaging equipment for optimal performance, reporting malfunctions to ensure timely maintenance and repair.
- Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain organized patient records.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and healthcare professionals to review images, support diagnosis, and contribute to treatment planning.
- Follow strict safety protocols and radiation protection measures to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Current ARRT certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT).
- State licensure or certification as required.
- Proficiency in radiographic techniques, imaging procedures, and equipment operation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in a dynamic environment.
- Dedication to ethical standards and maintaining patient confidentiality.
