Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Design and Development efforts on a number of assigned projects, working under close supervision with R&D management and senior R&D staff.
  • Plan, execute, generate or obtain results, and evaluate the data from all experiments (lab and/or production scale) agreed upon with management input.
  • Conduct literature searches, including related technical papers, patents, and others.
  • Prepare presentations & agendas, schedule meetings and record minutes for Project meetings
  • Analyze experimental data, interpret results, prepare technical reports, present results and recommendations to project teams and management.
  • Author/present manuscripts, posters, or other professional publications in internal or external forums.
  • Follow safety and GxP guidelines including maintaining up-to-date training, following SOPs, maintaining equipment, and proper documentation of laboratory notebooks and logbooks.

Qualifications

PhD degree in a field such as Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Bio, Analytical, Physical), Engineering (Chemical, Material Science, Biomedical), Life Sciences (Biology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, toxicology, pharmacology), or a related field.
Passionate about hands-on experimental work and demonstrated track record of leading, building and testing technical hypothesis
Significant experience managing complex, cross functional development projects
