Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops lesson plans and programs regarding fire service training and other public safety topics.
- Investigates cause and origin of fires, interviews victims and witnesses.
- Partner, communicate, and build relationships to gather Customer and business requirements and communicate effectively with Project Team and support groups
- Prepare presentations & agendas, schedule meetings and record minutes for Project meetings
- Teach a variety of courses in the Fire Science (FRS) Department. Available to teach daytime, evening, and weekend classes.
- Provide leadership through curriculum development of additional FRS courses and participation in revision of current courses.
- Assist students to obtain proficiency in performing emergency service practical skill drill exercises.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of five years of experience as a Firefighter Instructor
Effective organizational, planning and project management skills
