Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform specimen processing functions and clerical duties.
- Maintain equipment and instruments.
- Organize, schedule, and manage on-site training events; coordinate timed to projected patient visits.
- Conduct on-site training for sample collection and processing including site workflow, proper use of equipment, orders and labeling, sample preparation techniques, storage, and shipping of samples.
- Ensure training materials, Laboratory Services Guide and specimen testing supplies arrive prior to on-site training.
- Conduct training on how to obtain an order from the Web Portal for laboratories, when needed.
- Monitor issues of samples submitted by partner labs, and customer service provided by the sites (complaints and issues).
- Confirm, interpret, correlate and report normal and abnormal patient results.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Med Lab Science or biological science degree and 1-3 or more years of relevant experience
Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist registry or eligible. Successful completion of registry within 6 months of eligibility or hire.
