Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise in areas of civil engineering specific to land development.
  • Utilize homebuilding and land development practices to provide an efficient and an effective process of planning, engineering design, development, and construction of new communities.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledgeable regarding municipal zoning, land development ordinances, and applicable agency regulations, and the impact on land development and homebuilding.
  • Verifies and computes plan quantities and prepares pay item quantity schedules to ensure the accuracy of plan submittals.
  • Ensures accurate and thorough inspection and documentation of assigned construction projects.
  • Manages projects for new construction, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities and maintains surveillance over construction contractors utilizing a professional knowledge of civil engineering and knowledge of architecture



Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Civil Engineering
+3 years of experience in Civil Engineering site design and/or land development
Preferred experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD
Excellent communication skills
Ability to listen to and understand the customer (both internal and external)
Strong leadership skills, adaptability, and customer service orientation
Ability to successfully balance and follow-up on multiple tasks while meeting all deadlines
Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving
