Purchasing Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Processe purchases raw materials, packaging, plant and warehouse consumables, MRO and services for all plants.
• Analyze vendor base, delivery conditions, material, and finished goods to determine present and future material availability and quantities needed. Negotiate pricing.
• Approve purchase orders, change notices, and review terms and contracts for conformance to company policy.
• Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
• Maintain files and records of current and potential suppliers, prices, delivery dates and inventories.
• Process change orders, notifying vendors of materials and quantity requirement revision; contact vendors on rate adjustments and incorrect materials.
• Monitor price trends of raw materials and supplies, interview vendors, recommend sources, timing and quantity of purchases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in supply chain management
• Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development and compliance
• Excellent computer skills using Excel and the Company’s current ERP system and AS400.
• Solid analytical and computer skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field from a four-year college or university
