Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide budgetary pricing, engineering and technical support to Field Sales Engineers, engineering consultants and customers.
- Search and identify new sales opportunities in the bid spec market through use of online plan rooms, construction project websites and other resources.
- Engage with project bidders to learn outcomes of projects and keep pricing current during bidding cycles.
- Serve as main point of contact for all bid requests ensuring all proposals created are based on the most recent version of engineered drawings and design documents.
- Read and comprehend engineering drawings and specifications in order to develop and submit accurate sales proposals for all bid opportunities.
- Lead the technical sales process and offer guidance on system implementations and integrations
- Provide sales support including, answering specific product related questions, providing initial pricing on standard products and lead time information for their designated opportunities
- Prospect for potential new customers with the specific goal of turning them into sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts independently or based on specific targets generated.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years relevant experience in technical sales
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field,
- Ability to translate customer needs and requirements into an accurate product configuration
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical drawings and project specifications
- MS Office skills required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to use web-based configuration and research sites. Ability to use CRM system.
