Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery and maintenance of the digital product strategy for digital product experience(s)
  • Assists with translating the digital strategy into clearly prioritized user stories, business requirements and other product documentation including acceptance criteria and test cases.
  • Assists with developing presentations to share and build advocacy for the digital strategy with executive audiences and partners across the organization.
  • Support with maintaining the feature development and backlog, attending daily scrums to help drive priority decisions and remove roadblocks.
  • Ensures appropriate delivery of product requirements across the development lifecycle, including partnering with design and technology teams to ensure the visual design, content strategy, copywriting and development align to the strategic vision.
  • Contributes to developing the go to market strategy for the digital Guest or Cast experience.
  • Supports the ongoing Guest and Cast experience by monitoring product performance, supporting A/B tests and recommending opportunities to enhance the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Digital Platforms, including mobile apps and websites.

  • Support with delivery and ongoing maintenance, which may include product build, content updates and on call collaboration to ensure successful uptime of the digital experience as needed.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of professional experience working in the online industry
  • Digital website product development experience including conducting user gap assessment & ideation, writing detailed requirements & acceptance criteria and driving go-to-market delivery efforts.
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) and building complex websites, including daily updating of copy and images for sites, feature listings, faceted listings, feeds from other systems, building out new pages and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action with a willingness to take personal initiative.
  • Ability to work within a diverse team of resources from strategy, creative, business and technical disciplines.
  • Demonstrable ability to collaborate with and achieve results through others, plus the ability to build strong, balanced relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Experience resolving technical, user and business issues in a fast-paced online organization.
    Experience managing requests that include integration with multiple back-end systems.
    Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project cases.
  • Experience estimating project costs and level of effort required for delivery.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, including an ability to communicate and influence at an executive level


Key Success Skills & Capabilities:

  • Experienced in MyJira application, incl. ticket writing, tracking & reporting.
  • Experienced in Agile processes, incl. scrum ceremonies (participating & leading)
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification (preferred)
  • Adept in collaborating on & driving digital product solutions with partners, from ideation through requirements & delivery.
  • Experienced in writing detailed, logical & digestible digital product requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong CMS experience (GoPub & AEM preferred), from simple content updates (copy/imagery) to advanced website page implementations.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly build trust & meaningful relationships, incl. internally (core team) and externally (business partners/clients)
  • High attention to detail & passion for excellence in work product delivery
  • Self-starter with proactive drive and a natural sense of urgency
  • Evidences genuine empathy toward the Guest/consumer and a commitment to thoroughly explore opportunities and drive solutions
  • Fastidious in having a raise the bar mentality to constructively challenge both internal team & partner thinking/requests.
  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to engage and lead in-person & virtual meetings.
