Development Planning Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing economics and risk analyses to justify development projects. Utilize the economics results to steer decision making and program execution.
• Creating and driving implementation of field development plans that are aligned to the goals of the organization.
• Coordinating with land, drilling, completions, geology, geophysics and facilities personnel to implement area specific development plans.

• Working with the execution and technical staff to optimize the development program.
• Working with production and operations staff to manage and optimize base production.
• Providing engineering support to identify, screen and evaluate acquisition and other opportunities.
• Managing the reserves for the area using strong reservoir engineering principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related Engineering field combined with 5 or more years of experience in engineering.
• Ability to coordinate the full-cycle well execution activities of an asset team.
• Prior experience using economic and reserves evaluation tools.
• Prior experience in shale and in field operations considered a plus.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Commitment to safe operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that will enable you to effectively interact with management and cross-functional team members to advance projects and ideas.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, results orientated environment which is committed to safe operations.
• High degree of self-motivation and a strong team player
