Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts on-site evaluations, evaluates data, and creates/implements service plans to control customer's source of risk, loss and/or costs.
  • Provides expert technical support to other risk control employees by advising them about resources available, legislation and applicable regulations, technology, industry trends and effective methods to reduce risk, and improve customer satisfaction. 
  • Prepares and presents reports which outline action plan for improved practices and/or recommendations.
  • Providing property consultative services to customers, including identifying exposures with significant loss potential, investigation of cause/effect of major losses and property management programs
  • Conduct various loss control assessments and prepares loss analysis reports.
  • Conduct property and casualty risk assessments and underwriting reports.
  • Maintains a comprehensive underwriting database for both self-insured and insured coverage, utilizing risk assessment tools such as risk survey, review of financial reports and on-site inspections.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience of working as a Risk Engineer
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Fire Science, or related degree
  • Risk Engineering experience within the insurance industry
